Overview
42edit is an independent Croatian magazine covering fashion, beauty, life and the short pieces that sit between them, published at 42edit.hr. The public site is built to be read, not skimmed: a strong lead on the homepage, a latest column, category pages that keep their own pace, and article layouts that hold photography, galleries and embeds without crowding the writing.
Editors work in a purpose-built publishing setup rather than a generic theme. Fashion, Beauty, Life and 42notes each have their own listing and article treatment. Author pages, related stories, Instagram and TikTok embeds, cookie consent and the legal pages a Croatian publisher needs are part of the same system, so a new piece can go from draft to the homepage without a developer in the loop.
Rubycode designed and built the magazine end to end — the public site, the editorial tools and the hosting it runs on — and still looks after it. 42edit is a product we run, not a theme we installed.
